The Laindon School Reunion

Did you attend The Laindon School, in High Road, Laindon, Basildon, Essex, leaving between the years of 1994 - 1998? If so, have you heard the rumours...yes, they're all true...THERE IS FINALLY GOING TO BE A REUNION!!

Planned for Saturday 21st July 2007, it'll start in 'The Quays' on the Festival Leisure Park, Basildon, Essex, not a million miles from where we all met back in the day...then progress on to one of the late night venues (e.g. Chicagos, Lava/Ignite, etc) for those who wish to carry on the party...Hope you can make it!!

UP FOR IT? COURSE YOU ARE!!!

In order to make as many people as possible aware of the forthcoming event, please tell everyone you can...Spread the word...Please...It all helps!!! The more people are aware, the better the night will be so you know what you have to do...Thanks for your help.

Just a quick note to explain why the reunion has changed slightly. Due to not enough feedback to warrant hiring out a venue holding around 700 people, I was unable to pay out for the hire of Bonds as I was unsure as to whether I would get my money back on it and I couldn't afford to take the risk of splashing out my own personal money with the chance I may not get it back (which I'm sure you can all appreciate). However, I have put in a lot of time and effort with regards to getting everyone together, therefore (although this isn't how I'd hoped it'd work out as it's now lost the 'Laindon' touch), here's the suggestion...why don't we all meet up as planned one night (say July 21st this year) over the Festival Leisure Park (say 8pm in The Quays - that way people have a chance to chat and actually be able to hear what others are saying - whole point of a reunion is to catch up after all!), then for those that wish to continue the night, we can go to another venue, i.e. Chicagos, Jumpin' Jaks, Lava & Ignite (I'll see if I can sort out a deal on admission or something). Least this way, we still get to meet up, there isn't the disappointment of the reunion not happening and my time and efforts haven't been wasted completely...what do you reckon?

If anyone has any old photos they wish to be uploaded onto the site, please let me know via the Message Board as it all helps in brightening up the site and bringing back the memories of the good old Laindon days when we all thought life was so tough...how wrong we were...how easy was life back then?!
